WHY SHRINK WRAP

Uncovered through an Ontario winter costs more than the cover.

UV chalks gelcoat and paint. Freeze-thaw drives moisture into seams until something cracks. Snow loads sag tarps until they tear and dump water inside. Mice get in through any opening and chew through wiring, fuel lines, and upholstery.

Heat-shrunk film fits drum-tight to the hull or equipment — no slack, no flap, no pooling. Support frame underneath gives the cover pitch so snow and water slide off. Vents release internal moisture. One wrap holds the full off-season and comes off clean in spring.

BOATS & MARINE WINTERIZATION

Drum-tight cover, built on-site

September through December across Eastern Ontario marinas, private docks, and storage compounds. Cruisers, runabouts, pontoons, sailboats with masts stepped or unstepped, personal watercraft. Custom support frame, vented at the high points, sealed to the waterline, hull tape that leaves no residue on gelcoat in spring. Marina partnerships available for high-volume seasonal programs.

  • Custom-fit cover with support frame for snow load

  • Vented to prevent condensation, mould, and mildew

  • White film blocks UV and reduces interior heat

  • Zipper-door access for mid-winter inspection

OUTDOOR STORAGE

Equipment that sits in the yard, fully sealed

Capital equipment often arrives months before installation is ready — HVAC units, conveyor sections, modular trailers, complete production lines. Sitting outdoors, exposed steel rusts, fan belts get chewed by mice, and the project budget pays for it later. We wrap each unit with vented, UV-stable film designed to hold up through Canadian winters and full seasons of weather.

  • Vented to prevent condensation and internal corrosion

  • UV-stabilized film for long-term outdoor exposure

  • Sealed against pests, dust, and water ingress

  • Removed cleanly when the equipment is ready for install

NEW-BUILD VESSEL SHIPPING

Wrapped before delivery — receiving requirements met

Builders shipping new vessels to customers, military buyers, or government receivers face the same rule on every delivery: the receiver won't accept the boat unwrapped. We wrap finished hulls inside the build facility — patrol boats, work boats, fire/rescue craft, custom builds — sealed to the contour and ready for flatbed or open-trailer transit.

  • Wrapped inside the build facility before the vessel goes on the trailer

  • Meets military and government receiving-dock requirements

  • Drum-tight cover holds through long-haul transit

  • Coordinates with builder production schedule — no ship-date delay

SPECIALTY VEHICLES & TRANSIT EQUIPMENT

Rail cars, buses, helicopters, aircraft components

Outside the marine season, the same techniques apply to specialty vehicles and transit equipment in build, modification, storage, or transport. Rail cars between modification cycles, transit buses staged for overhaul, helicopter airframes and aircraft nose-cone components, oversized vehicle components on flatbed moves.

  • Rail cars and transit vehicles wrapped between modification cycles

  • Aircraft and helicopter components covered for storage or air-freight

  • Heavy-grade film rated for long outdoor storage windows

  • Vendor onboarding documentation for defence and transit clients

WHY HEAT-SHRUNK VS. TARP

Drum-Tight Means Zero Flap. Zero Chafing. Zero Re-Wraps.

A tarp is rated for the moment it's installed. Heat-shrunk film is rated for the entire length of exposure — the way the cover behaves on day 1 is the way it behaves on day 90. Higher up-front, lower total cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: What can you shrink wrap?

We shrink wrap industrial machinery, equipment, freight/cargo, tooling, construction materials, and specialty items. If it needs protection for shipping or outdoor storage, we can typically wrap it.

Question 2: Do you offer on-site (mobile) shrink wrapping?

Yes. We come to your facility, yard, jobsite, or storage location with the tools and materials needed. This saves time and eliminates the need to transport equipment to a shop.

Question 3: Can shrink wrap protect equipment during shipping and transport?

Yes. Industrial shrink wrap creates a tight, weather-resistant barrier that helps protect against rain, snow, road debris, dust, and contamination during transit. It’s commonly used for flatbed loads and oversized shipments.

Question 4: How long does a typical job take?

Most projects can be completed the same day once scheduled, depending on size and complexity. We’ll confirm timing after we review the item dimensions, access, and site conditions.

Question 5: Is shrink wrap suitable for long-term outdoor storage?

Yes. Properly installed shrink wrap helps keep assets clean and dry for extended storage. Venting and correct installation techniques reduce moisture issues and help prevent damage over time.

Question 6: What information do you need to quote a project?

Item type, approximate dimensions, location (city/site), timeline, and whether it’s for shipping or storage. Photos help a lot, especially for oversized equipment or irregular shapes.

Question 7: Are you insured and compliant for industrial jobsites?

Yes. We carry liability insurance and meet common jobsite safety requirements (WSIB compliance, WHMIS, Working at Heights, and hot-work/site rules where required), so vendors can be approved faster.
