We collect only what we need to quote and schedule your job — your name, how to reach you, where you are, and what needs wrapping. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for anyone else's advertising.
This policy explains what personal information Protect All Shrink Wrapping Services collects through protectallshrinkwrap.com and by phone, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website and to enquiries you send us through it.
We're a small owner-operated business in Kingston, Ontario. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If anything here isn't clear, call or email us and we'll explain it in plain terms.
There are two kinds of information here. The first is what you type in and hand to us on purpose. The second is technical data your browser sends to any website you visit, ours included.
| What | How we get it | Do we need it? |
|---|---|---|
| Full name | Quote form, phone, email | Yes — to address the quote |
| Phone number | Quote form, phone, email | Yes — most jobs get settled by phone |
| Email address | Quote form, email | Yes — to send the written quote |
| City or site location | Quote form, conversation | Yes — travel and scheduling depend on it |
| What needs wrapping | Quote form, conversation | Yes — it's the job description |
| Photos you send us | Email, text, form attachments | Optional — helpful for accurate pricing |
| IP address, browser, device | Sent automatically by your browser | Collected by our analytics and security tools |
| Pages viewed, buttons clicked | Analytics cookies | Used in aggregate, see below |
We don't ask for and don't want payment card numbers, banking details, government identification, health information or anything similar through this website. If you send us something like that unprompted, we'll delete it.
To quote your job, to schedule it, to do the work, to invoice for it, and to answer you when you get back in touch. That's the whole list for the information you give us directly.
The technical data has a narrower job: it tells us which pages people actually read, whether our ads are reaching the right kind of business, and whether the site is being hit by bots. We look at that in aggregate. We're not building a profile of you as an individual.
We do not sell your personal information. We don't rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers, and we don't share it so that another company can advertise to you.
The number shown on this site, +1 (343) 314-3420, is a tracking number. It rings through to us like any other number, and it also lets us see which page or which ad the call came from. When you call it, we receive your phone number, the time of the call and how long it lasted.
Some calls that begin from a Google ad may be recorded, and the recording may be processed automatically by Google to work out whether the call was a genuine service enquiry rather than a wrong number or a robocall. If you'd rather not be recorded, say so at the start of the call and we'll take your details another way, or email us instead.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Ours fall into three groups.
G-S0404GQWL0) tells us which pages get read and where visitors arrive from. Loaded through Google Tag Manager (container GTM-58GSCXNT).AW-17907638711) tells us when a visit that came from one of our ads ended in a quote request or a call. It measures results; it does not follow you around other websites on our behalf. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Google also offers its own controls: the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and My Ad Center for ad personalisation. Blocking analytics cookies won't stop you using this site or getting a quote.
Only with the service providers that make the business run, and only so far as they need it to do their part:
These providers operate servers outside Canada, mainly in the United States. That means your information may be stored or processed there, and may be accessible to authorities in those countries under their own laws. We'd rather tell you that plainly than bury it.
Beyond that, we'd only disclose information if the law required it, or if we needed to establish or defend a legal claim.
Quote requests and job records are kept for as long as the business relationship is live, and afterwards for as long as we may need them for tax, insurance or warranty reasons. Enquiries that never became a job are kept for a shorter period and then deleted. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will, unless we're required to keep a record.
Under PIPEDA you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's wrong, and withdraw your consent to us using it. To do any of that, email [email protected] or call the number below. We'll respond within thirty days, and we won't charge you for a reasonable request.
If we ever send you a marketing email, every one of them carries an unsubscribe link and it works on the first click. Withdrawing consent to marketing won't affect a job already in progress — we'll still call you about your own work.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you're entitled to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.
We use reputable providers, keep accounts behind strong authentication, and limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfect and we won't pretend otherwise — but we don't hold the kind of data that makes a business a target, and we keep it that way on purpose.
If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than slipped in quietly.
Tell us what needs wrapping and where it is. We'll come back to you with a written quote.
